GATHERING GROUNDS CAFE

Gathering Grounds Café is a social enterprise initiate for individuals 18 years and older with a developmental disability and autism. This model provides opportunities for individuals to learn, practice and expand skills that are required in the workforce. The focus is on individualized approaches to teaching through a variety of experiences and workshops which help individuals to build their employment skills. The café is an environment which connects individuals to community employment agencies and assists with job retention through on the job coaching supports. Additional benefits include the promotion of social interaction, self-confidence, self-determination, interaction with community members & network building.
